The aim was not to build on or work over the image, but instead to reappropriate its context. I used Man Rays' image 'Le Violon D'Ingres', an image already weighted with the notion of the objectification of women, and reproduced it in different mediums to tell the narrative of the ever changing nature of the physicality of music. 

The project was a space to experiment with the boundaries of an image and to also explore different processes of making.
